On December 28, Greatoo（002031）announced that the company’s RV reducers won the patents for utility right certificate awarded by State Intellectual Property Office. Besides, the company was applying for patents for invention for other two reducers. The achievements above showed that the company has made new breakthroughs in the core components of robots.

RV reducers are the core components of industrial robots. RV reducers in domestic market are mainly monopolized by foreign countries, so the prices are very high. It’s estimated that the cost of reducers is the most important factor limiting the development of domestic robots, which makes the effect of import substitution outstanding. At the same time, RV reducers are the parts used in carrying transmission. As the frictions of parts shorten the service life of RV reducers, there is a huge demand , so RV reducers enjoy a huge market potential.

 After years’ investment and researches, Greatoo has gradually mastered the core technology of RV reducers and continued to upgraded its technology. The company has successfully invented a new type of RV reducers with features like low friction consumption, calorific value and costs and high delivery efficiency and reliability and long service life. Besides for the patents,  in August, Greatoo signed the license agreement with Israel SAS and was authorized to use softMC source code technology of the control system of industrial robots, which will further strengthen the company’s core intellectual property base of intelligent equipment and improve the company’s business.
