    Lean Manufacturing to Promote Development

    On December 8, the summit forum of "New Intelligence Development and New Prospects" organized by SGS-CSTS was held in Shenzhen. And our company's Chai Dingbo, manager of the Manufacturing Division of Tire Molds, and Chen Junhan, manager of the technology Division of Tire Molds, were invited to attend the forum. Focusing on the theme of "lean manufacturing management and transformation and upgrading of enterprise intelligence manufacturing", we conducted extensive and in-depth discussions with more than 100 enterprise managers in the manufacturing industry.
    The seminar was co-chaired by Mr. Zhong, the former inspector general of Lenovo Group, and a management expert team of SGS. The conference first took " Digital promote the transformation and upgrading of intelligent manufacturing enterprises " as an entry point to interpret the trend of intelligent transformation of manufacturing industry in China in the environment of rapid development of Internet economy. The meeting analyzed the challenges and opportunities that China's manufacturing industry is currently facing during its transformation and upgrading, and proposed that the ultimate goal of China's manufacturing transformation and upgrading should be to realize the concept of intelligent production centered on digitization. What’s more, it dissects the bottleneck of improving manufacturing management in China and the problems in the process of transition. It points out that standardization and leanization are the foundation for enterprises to realize intelligent manufacturing and the necessary management mode for enterprises in the transition of intelligent manufacturing. In other words, the realization of intelligent manufacturing enterprises is a process step by step from the standard one to the lean, digital and intelligent one.
    At the meeting, the managers of our company, Chai Dingbo and Chen Junhan, agreed that: Due to different products, different modes of production management and different business management concepts, the implementation and promotion of lean manufacturing and intelligent manufacturing should be based on the actual conditions of different enterprises. Although flexible production lines and automated production technologies have been heavily invested in most manufacturing industries, for the enterprise's lean management, it is the key whether the whole production technology management system really meets the business management system and the actual situation. Lean manufacturing management is just a time-based strategy (Just in Time). It is a process that combines the structure of the enterprise system, personnel organization, operation mode and market supply and demand to streamline all the useless and redundant things in the production process so as to achieve continuous improvement. Production system can quickly adapt to the changing needs of users, and ultimately achieve the optimal results in all aspects of production, including market supply and marketing management. Therefore, the implementation of lean manufacturing management to achieve intelligent manufacturing, the first should be based on the company's own situation.
    If the intelligent production technology system is the technical means of enterprise transformation and upgrading, then lean manufacturing management is the ultimate guide to the efficiency of enterprise transformation and upgrading. Take the Japanese manufacturing industry for example, which uses industrial robots as the basis for industrial production to implement lean management. Japanese manufacturing industry also emphasizes automation, and it is not only to use machinery instead of manpower automation in production management, but also to mobilize people's subjective initiative and play a role in the control of intelligent production systems to achieve the best combination of man-machine.     With the development of the Internet economy, enterprises are starting to compete in price, quality and service competition. How to provide the best products to customers in the shortest time and with minimal cost is the challenge for all enterprises. In the process of realizing intelligence, as an important foundation for the transformation and upgrading of enterprises, lean manufacturing management is not an effort to achieve immediate results through short-term operation, but an implementation process of continuous improvement and perseverance.
